Overview of the subject
This course will provide a systematic approach to V/STOL aircraft. It will cover the history of V/STOL aircraft development, fundamentals of aerodynamics, estimation of the required power, rotor blade dynamics, prediction of performance for take-off and landing, loads and vibrations, design of a high lift device, and the propulsion system.
